CARY’S CORNER – THE BEST LAID PLANS…

FALL 2012

I’ve never been a big planner.  I am more of a “go with the flow” kind of guy.  Now don’t get me wrong, I do make plans.  I route out each day of work. I set up things to do on the weekends.   I even mark big events on my calendar.  However, it is all done in pencil.  Nothing is ever written in stone for me.  In my book there are few things more   frustrating than having your plans go awry.

However, as the saying goes, “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.”  So you make plans.  You plan on having a great summer.  You plan on getting a ton of work done, maybe having some fun on the lake a couple of weekends and making your company profitable.  Then your favorite work truck blows an engine, you have to buy a new to you truck, and you break your ankle riding a jet ski.  Do you know how difficult it is to push a spreader while on crutches?

Now I am not complaining.  As I talked about in my last Cary’s Corner, it can always be worse.  I am just saying plan as you may, but things rarely go the way you intend.  It is when things do go wrong that your true character comes out.  Do you get mad, frustrated and give up when your plan fails? Or, do you roll up your sleeves, dust yourself off and get back up on the horse? Or, the jet ski in my case.

This summer has wrecked any plans we had for having great lawns.  Even the best lawns with the upmost attention paid to them suffered.  A record number of 100 degree days along with practically no rain makes grass very unhappy.  The good news is that with a little help from you ClassicLawns can fix it!

Your lawn probably does not look like the way you planned right now.  So, it is simply time for a new plan.  The goal for us at ClassicLawns is to give our customers the best lawn possible at an affordable price.  On the front of this newsletter we have drawn up a simple plan to fix any lawn.  Some lawns may take a bit more work than others, but now is the time to roll up those sleeves, get out your pencils and start a new plan!
